Clearing the Way for Top Positions Powertek offers job opportunities that require clearances up to and including Top Secret. The projects we undertake are with customers who have missions of national safety and security and involving information that must be carefully tracked and guarded. Why have a security clearance?
There are three basic levels of security clearance: Confidential, Secret and Top Secret. If you do not have a clearance or if your clearance has lapsed, we will sponsor you. You will need to complete an application that includes work history; addresses where you have lived; the names of family, roommates, and friends; financial history; travel history; groups or affiliations, and additional information. A background investigation will be performed which generally includes a verification of U.S. citizenship; fingerprinting; credit check; interviews with former and current colleagues, neighbors, and friends; a search of Federal investigative files or criminal records; a personal interview with you; etc. Once you have your security clearance, it must be kept "active."
