Rockville, MD – Powertek Corporation, a leading provider of technology and business consulting services and solutions to government organizations, announced it has been awarded a contract to provide Information Assurance (IA) and Security Operations (SO) advisory and assistance services for the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Washington Headquarters Services (WHS). The objective of this task is to ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of information systems, and networks are not compromised.   Powertek will support WHS in instituting a repeatable, scalable program to ensure IA mission success.  The main focus of the effort is to evaluate computer systems and network security risks and to mitigate or eliminate the risk and to provide vulnerability assessments/audits, and incident response.  Several Federal agencies rely on Powertek’s professionals for their experience with Information Assurance and we are currently supporting the Office of the Security of Defense with the Cyber Security Threat Risk Assessment and management.
