Powertek Corporation Named the 2008 Regional Minority Technology Firm of the Year

Powertek
is excited to announce that they were named the 2008 Regional Minority Technology
Firm of the Year by the U.S. Department of Commerce Minority Business
Development Agency (MBDA). Powertek’s
President, Nancy Scott, expressed her excitement about receiving this award, “We
are surprised and honored to be selected for this award and look forward to
continuing our work with MBDA.”
The New York Regional
Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week Committee will be presenting
Powertek with this notable award at the New York MED Week Minority Business
Networking Awards Celebration. Powertek
has also been nominated for the National MBE Awards for which the results will
be announced in July. MBDA’s 2008 MED
Week theme is “The Power of Strategic Alliances in the Global Economy.” Powertek will honored by approximately 200
participants at the event, including successful minority entrepreneurs,
corporate and government supplier diversity and purchasing representatives, and
leaders of local minority business organizations.
