Powertek Corporation Nominated NASA Ames Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year for 2008 11.17.08 NASA Ames Research Center nominated Powertek for the 2008 Small Business Industry Awards in the category of Small Business Prime Contractor. The nomination recognizes Powertek for "...providing innovative, cost-efficient and communication-filled service in fulfilling requirements to the Government while handling their employees with generosity, empathy and viable upward mobility on their individual career paths and needs." Powertek is honored to be recognized by NASA Ames Research Center. According to Powertek’s President, Nancy Scott, "This honor is validation for all of the hard work and commitment of our team. We couldn’t be more thrilled." Powertek served as the Financial Services Support Contractor for NASA Ames Research center during a difficult period when the incumbent went out of business and left NASA without a contractor during the transition period. The award was given, in part, due to Powertek’s immediate and agile response to NASA’s call to secure stability in the workforce.
