Information Technology Investment Management
A mature IT investment management methodology is essential for ensuring that an organization’s IT investment portfolio aligns with its business goals and realizes maximum return. Powertek supports our customers by assessing their current IT investment management capabilities and implementing the critical processes involved with the selection, control, and evaluation phases for managing IT investments (e.g., CPIC). We develop and implement action plans, evaluate agency tools and content, and recommend data collection, management, and reporting methodologies to better assist executives in making timely and accurate business investment decisions.
Organizational Project Management
Essential to delivering IT projects within time, cost, and scope constraints is a well defined project management methodology. Powertek works with our customers to develop and implement customized Project Management Office (PMO) solutions aligned with business goals and organizational constraints that define the PMO’s scope, its position within the agency’s organization, and the roles and responsibility of its stakeholders.
Project Recovery
Powertek’s certified Project Management Professionals (PMP) assist Government customers assess and resolve at-risk IT projects. We review project plans, design specifications, staff skills, and deliverables to identify the risks and issues causing the poor performance. Our Recovery Plan contains risk mitigation approaches designed to put the project back on track within current constraints and business objectives.
Change Management
Critical to the success of business transformation efforts is effective change management to address concerns and achieve stakeholder buy-in. Powertek follows a defined change management process consisting of a comprehensive Communications Plan outlining campaigns, mentoring, training, and other activities designed to smoothly transition the affected project and staff by implementing planned organizational change.
