Today's defense and intelligence agencies face many challenges: new security threats, requirements for collaboration and transformation, and expanded responsibilities to include peacekeeping and nation-building. Together, they must protect our nation from traditional threats as well as from attack vectors originating in cyberspace.
The DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) are evolving their operations and capabilities to effectively counter these asymmetric threats and to collaborate efficiently with our coalition partners. Operational force enablement requires a corresponding transformation in the implementation and use of information and communications technology solutions ranging from cross-domain information sharing to next-generation C4ISR systems.
